ANNIE AND BARRY PRESENT...
Dave has toured the world both on his own and as the guitarist and opening act for Al Stewart ("Year of the Cat", "Time Passages").
Other highlights of his 40+ year career include a dozen albums and thousands of shows - ranging from living room concerts to the Royal Albert Hall.
You will love his stories as much as his incredible musicianship.
This venue has a limit of 40 guests. We ask that you reserve the exact number of seats you will use - and then use them!
Specifics will be emailed to you along with a link to update your reservation if necessary.
Pregnant with our now-19-year-old-son, we learned that Al Stewart, a fav from the '70s, was playing in Berkeley. Dave was the opening act and then did the heavy-lifting on guitar for Al's entire set. We've stayed friends since that night and this will be the 3rd time he's graced our circle of friends with a private House Concert.
Mad guitar skills, a heart of gold, an amazing father/husband/man, and a PhD in Philosophy. What all this means to you is you'll be in great hands for an evening of music, conversation, reflection, and laughs.
Morro Bay was the destination for our first out-of-town camping trip as a young couple back in 1986. After a handful of memorable visits over the past decades, we made this place our home as of January 2021. One focus of our full remodel was creating a space where we could host concerts for the artists we know and love.
It's Morro Bay so bring a jacket! Also a small-ish foldable chair, a donation for the artist ($10-$20 per person is awesome - and do whatever feels good!), something to share on the drink table, and an open heart to connect with sweet friends.
Please be respectful of others with regard to Covid by either being fully vaccinated or wearing a mask during the event.
Dave seems to carry his own electricity with him. Not in a jar but in his guitar, voice and stage personality. The lights burn a bit brighter when he is on stage.

Superb musician! Don't miss out on this guy's music if he's in your town - you won't regret it.

Of course, having a doctorate in philosophy certainly helps explain how he's able to present his ideas and weave those thoughts with such good music. Often hailed as a cross between Bruce Springsteen and Arlo Guthrie, it doesn't take but a moment to realize that Dave could open for James Taylor, Judas Priest or Ray Charles on any given weekend.
